Betty

Medium Female Greyhound Dog

Gets on well with other large dogs, not tested with small dogs.

Full time and Part time workers okay.

Good with kids 8 years old and upwards.

'Betty Spaghetti' as her foster mum so fondly calls Betty, is just the sweetest, most affectionate young lady.

Betty is a beautiful black and white medium female greyhound and at just over 3 years of age Betty will make you laugh! As is usual for many greyhounds, Betty has 'hoarder' traits, pinching items to use and make her own bed look pretty and comfortable. At her foster home she has a love for sparkly cushions. She doesn't take the other plainer ones but the ones that have sparkly sequins on them. A bit of a interior designer our Betty wanting to make her abode just right and appealing for all to see. She loves her toys too and likes to, slowly and without anyone seeing, take ownership of them and take them back to her bed. Such a funny girl always busy!

She also just love human friends, kids included and would fit in quite nicely into a family with children 8 years of age and up. She follows you around and loves to be a part of the family activities. She is happy to go outside and is house trained and will take herself out and will come back in when called. In saying that, Betty has good recall, but should always be on a leash when out walking in the public areas for her own safety as well as your piece of mind. She walks well on loose lead and is a pleasure to take out for a leisurely walk.

Betty is good in the car and just loves car trips to destinations she can explore and have fun. She loves going camping with her canine friend! Betty is a very clever girl, as well as having good recall, Betty can sit on command too. It looks a bit awkward, as the long legs and getting them in position is not as quick as other breeds of dogs, but she does get there.

Betty gets along well with other large canine friends and is living with another large dog at her foster home and they get on so well. Betty just about loves everyone she meets, but not kitties. Betty is not cat friendly and at this stage has not been tested with small dogs either.

As you may have seen, Betty has a sister called Ruby. They came to us together and it is beautiful to see them play together, sisterly love you might say. We would be so thrilled if they were re homed together which would make it easier for them both to adjust to their new life, but we are also open to them being re homed separately as well. Photo's on this profile are of Betty first and then Ruby second.

Betty is so deserving of a home who will make her a big part of their lives, allow her to be an inside dog and sleep inside, and include her. She has so much love to give! The lucky family who adopts Betty will never look back and will have so many beautiful years ahead with this sweetheart!
